Scenic Hikes
Providing quality opportunities for solitude and discovery
is of up-most importance to us at Cimarron Rose. Though we are easily accessed off of scenic highway 53, our drive-way gate remains closed to ensure optimum privacy.
Our 20 acres of beautiful ponderosa pine forest provides incredible natural diversity from vegetation to wildlife to ancient marine fossils in an exposed bed of Lower Permian Period Limestone.
"You have a wonderful place here. I can hear the quiet! I was also tickled to find my first fossil while walking up to the ridge. All your creative touches and sweet hospitality have made this a great retreat." B.C. Washington
Guests are also invited to explore northward from the property 2 1/2 miles up through the Cibola National Forest onto the Continental Divide of Oso Ridge (Spanish for "bear"). Spectacular vistas await you from the ridge itself or from nearby Oso Ridge Fire Look-out.
