As a "green", conservation oriented inn, we take responsibility in as many ways as we can to ensure the health of the earth while accomodating our guests.
The 3,000 sq.ft. roof of the house harvests rainwater into a 7,000 gallon capacity cistern system for
utility water utilized by the bed & breakfast.
Grey water from our front-loading water conservative washing machine nourishes our trees in times of drought.
Organic materials supplied by our two resident goats and horse, Cimarron, are used to fertilize our 1/2 acre of perennial gardens
certified by the National Wildlife Federation as "Backyard Wildlife Habitat". These gardens provide food and shelter for our many
wildlife friends, from Western Fence Lizards to our more than 80 species of birds.
We use dye and perfume - free laundry detergents and environmentally friendly cleaning agents. Natural pest control methods are implemented when necessary.
